Mets lose slugfest in Tampa Bay – TB Rays Game 1

The Tampa Bay Rays take game one of the weekend series 10-8.

Jose Quintana had a very rough start to put the Mets behind early. A rare sight to see with Quintana as he gave up 10 hits and 8 earned runs in only 2 2/3rds. Randy Arozarena had an impressive game with a monster home run in the 4th inning and was walked three times.

For the Mets, the bats were alive despite the loss. Francisco Lindor stays hot as he had two RBIs on a hit, and Brett Baty hit two home runs with four RBIs. Starling Marte and Pete Alonso added an RBI each on one hit, but 8 runs was not enough for the Mets.

Christian Scott will make his major league debut for the Mets tomorrow night as he looks to help the Mets get even in the series.
