The New York Mets have beat the Dodgers and have won their 5th straight series in a row going 12-3 in the last 15 games.
This team continues to amaze, whether it is pitching or the offense. Starling Marte has looked like what he was in the 2022 season and Francisco Lindor is starting to get hot. Marte had two hits today (one home run) with 4 RBIs, and Lindor had two hits and two RBIs to help the Mets to victory.
The pitching can not get enough credit for what they have done this year so far. A bend but do not break mentality has helped the pithing staff overcome some of the leagues most explosive lineups.
Jose Butto struck out 6 Dodgers in 4 and a 1/3rd innings and the bullpen took care of the rest. Smith, Lopez, Diaz, and Garrett let up a combined 2 hits and no runs to help the Mets to win the game.
